same here. i called verizon when they put the $2. minimum charge monthly on phones even if you do not use it. i only use the phone to dial 800 out and take in all calls n/c on land line. i can always use 10-10 dial around if i need to call out. cell phone is used for out going calls, and incoming relatives close friends and medical. otherwise i know when a call is coming into land line it is usually a trash call. i do keep recorder on in case its because cell phone not working, on charger etc.

the land line costs $15.mo.. i think of getting rid of it.. do not need it according to vz their is another plan that take out the land line but you continue the number for billing for fios pc, tv. down the road it goes too.
