Nixon lied, so did just about every other US president. As for refusing to do what people want? What are you talking about? Not at all.......even Greenspan, a Republican, praised his mgmt of the economy. 1 - So someone else might have a different opinion than me. That isn't an argument for that an opinion. The fact that he is a Republican is pretty meaningless in this context. I really doubt you would change your mind any time I quoted a Democrat who disagreed with you. 2 - Praising his management, if it did happen, isn't the same as saying he deserves credit for the economic growth. Policies pushed by presidents are only one of many factors that go in to determining the health of the economy.
