I dont think you can lose with them over time, but you need to be prepared to hold goog at 550 and have the guts to buy more.
I am beginning to think that the losses on subprime are being overstated. That shit is being valued at zero is some cases because there is no market. However many of those mortgages will survive without forclosure and i guess this will provide additional revenue for banks down the road. So i am not expecting too many more shoes to drop. Citibank at 6% dividend taxed at 15% only is compelling. Goldman sachs probably should be in everyones portfolio. ONe analyst said today Goldman didnt suffer becauase of superior risk mgt tools because of larger computers. All this talk of banks and brokers not spending on IT is exactly what made them vulnerable here because they lack the tools that GS has. ..
