The worst part of TV news is that it is somewhat spotty, but major speeches are good to see and sometimes there are political interviews of interest.

You just made the case for ignoring all TV news except C-span. Which is just about what I do.

The worst part of TV news is repetition, and I think I've reached my tipping point. By repetition I mean that I am hearing the same people say the same thing over and over again. I've listened to them all and have come to the conclusion that for TV news casters, their biggest enemy is redundancy.

I cannot stand watching it every night any longer. If there is breaking news of national importance I'll watch. Otherwise I've turned it off and almost exclusively rely on the Internet. The only exception is occasionally listening to talk radio or top of the hour news when I'm traveling in the car.
