Well like I said the number cars per capita was supportive of your argument but I guess key points to seal it would be distance driven per capita, avg vehicle efficiency, smaller more efficient cars on avg in Europe ? Europe needs heat also.. a lot of cold winter temperatures also. I live in Toronto and we easily do 55K kilometres annually and my wife uses public transit to boot plus my daughter uses transit to get to high school.... Greater Toronto is just not laid out to survive without a car unless you are in the downtown..
