I haven't seen beef hearts for 20 years and that's before mad cow disease. Mad cow is more of a nerve thing so if that was a reason they would take T-bones off the market as the dip in the top of the T-bone is spinal matter.

Going way back, there was a little dinner here that served a lot of chicken. That was back in the days when chickens came with their guts. The first Wednesday of every month was a big plate of fried chicken guts covered with gravy for 25 cents.
