You're already paying the tax - to the Saudis, and the other oil exporters whose national oil companies are funding their economic expansion here and in the rest of the world. Some of these newly rich are not friendly, or at least feel no obligation to us.

I prefer lower taxes, but hey, that's just me.

Paul, that is definitely just you. Most of us here are besieging our elected representatives to please, please raise our taxes.

So what if the federal government is exponentially increasing expenditures as we grind our way through what is likely to be the longest and most expensive war in the history of our country?

So what if the federal government is simultaneously decreasing revenues by handing out tax cuts to the upper tier of American society?

Some of us believe that this administration should be asking all Americans for a little sacrifice rather than dumping 3 trillion in debt on the backs of our children.

But hey, that's just me.
