This feeds into the concern that midwesterners have over the 'super highway' from Mexico to Canada. I heard one call in radio show last year in which a public official was being interviewed and declared the concept of a 'super highway' did not exist citing the need to rebuild the old north/south routes that were not equipped to handle the amount of traffic we have today and the big trucks. The caller was not convinced. mj

LOu Dobbs!! The Constitutional expert!!! Heck in the early years of our Nation we annexed part of Mexico, launched more then one UNSUCCESSFUL drives into Canada in an attempt to secure land etc. I dont see why the Constitution would not allow merger of USA with Mexico and Canada, especially since USA would likely be the surviving entity. Personally, I think its all just a bunch of Conspiracy BS to fill a news hole. I expect to hear later Bush is negotiating with Aliens for an interplantary merger. After all, isnt there talk now of reopening the UFO search? Must be a reason, RIGHT!! jdn
