Well yes tyke maybe even I am getting it. If the dollar was 1.20 in 2000 and the dow was at 12000 or so and now the dollar is at .76 and the dow is at 13,500 we have lost a lot of ground if we only invested in the dow. But with all my college and degrees etc. and the fact that I am so smart I have invested in gold stocks since then and my returns would put the dow at 36,000 or even more in my gold stock return numbers.
