Not really -- Tofino faces the Pacific Ocean, after all. The Island hotspot is on the east coast near Nanaimo.

A typical summer sunny day in Tofino starts out with a bit of fog which gradually burns off. But don't worry, even in the rain you can have a great time as long as you bring your rain gear.

To get the essence of a rain forest, you need to see it in the rain. Hopefully just for one day, then the sun comes out.

Ironically, Tofino had problems with running out of water a few summers ago. They had never planned for such a lack of rain in the summer.
