That's the problem with large bureaucracies, public and private. Decisions are made by committee after endless discussion. There's no leadership, no "The Buck Stops Here." Nobody takes a risk to make the best decision; therefore we all live in beige houses, the color intended to offend the least number of people. You know damn well that a committee made a decision PS My house is beige on the outside only because I haven't had the time energy and budget to change it to the best color for us. Inside, it's colors we like. Not beige.
