I agree it was a circus...but if you really want to see a circus just tune in to the Republican YouTube debate coming up...

I really find disusting the need for the commentators to rephrase or completely ignore the question of the audience member and replace it with one of their own. They do this on all the networks and on all the candidates. The media in action.

With all the democratic weaknesses evident and laid out, they still beat the republicans right now. If we end up with a recession next year, even Hillary wins easily. Rudy had a tough week...Remember, this is the guy who says he is the expert on dealing with terrorism and his hand-picked choice for Homeland Security Chief gets indicted eight times....

Some Judgement of people, there.

I am still counting States. I can't see any state that Kerry won in 2004 that does not stay Democratic in 2008 (as of right now). Plus Ohio is lost for the Republicans unless something really different takes shape in the landscape. There are more Democratic Governors now, and more State Legislatures are controlled by Democrats. The State party machinery is leaning more to the left and this will have an impact in any election disputes...and in election structure.

The Republicans still have an uphill slog to have any candidate win next year. I think Rudy could do it. I think Romney might be able to do it (but unlikely). I actually think McCain would have the best chance, as many polls show...but he won't get nominated.

Thompson is a waste of time. Why did he bother to run?
