"I believe in supply side economics up to a point, and the majority of economists do too."

Sure. Up to a point. Unfortunately that point isn't something truly objective. Based on the available evidence, when Kennedy made those cuts, it likely was above that point. But, no other tax cut has yielded anywhere nearly the same results. In fact, it is difficult to show that any of the others have yielded any positive results at all.

Cutting taxes should provide some stimulus. As should running a deficit. Pumping in excess dollars should work every time unless there is some underlying problems. However, the price is inflation.

"Also, the tax cutting is supposed to go hand in hand with expenditure cuts to avoid deficits. This NEVER happens. "

That is the problem, nicht wahr?

"As I asked TopCat, if we cut taxes to zero, do government revenues become infinite? He said "Yes"! "

Reminds me of the pointy hair boss in Dilbert. He is writing at his desk and musing over how if he can cut expenses enough, they can turn a profit without selling anything. And they he gets distracted wondering how they put the ink in a ballpoint pen..

Still using your stupid question and my sarcastic response, I see. Gawd, you really are dumb.

The basic flaw in your thinking is connecting tax rates with deficits. Deficits are the result of spending more than revenues...Duh.

Tax revenue IS connected to tax rates. See the Laffer Curve:

en.wikipedia.org

For some more evidence of how lowering tax rates have increased revenues...read this:

and this:

Read the last sentence then go nuts....
