Taj Mahal and other Indian heritage sites will now insist on a proper hard currency – the rupee.

The country’s culture ministry took the step after confronting a sharp fall in the rupee value of its dollar ticket sales.

Arun, my pick for next empire is cyberspace. The idea of borders as national boundaries is diminished with the reduction of importance of land for food and resources.

Already, I have more loyalty to cyberspace and its suppliers than I do to any country including NZ, which treats me like a serf. If I could overthrow NZ's repressive and kleptocratic government, I would. We revolutionaries are thin on the ground though, so the more likely outcome is to flee.

An improved UN to NUN standard would be a good pit-stop en route. Given the love of serfdom around the world, I don't think much good will come out of it.
