"Brooks should just let this one go" He shouldn't have tried to rewrite history at all. The evidence is very clear to the point it is better to ignore it and hope it goes away...

As far as I know, Brooks wrote only one column on this (non-)issue, and there is nothing to suggest that he is trying to defend or divert attention away from Bush. More partisanship, as usual.
