Seeps mean there is some oil, but often don't mean economic quantities of oil are around.

The negative side of seeps - seeps can mean a cap rock failure or opening, and most of the oil may have already seeped out thousands of years ago...also takes the pressure off.

You might want to check the track records of the people in the company. Google works pretty well for this, but not perfect.

With $100 oil, the economics has changed, however.

For oil, I like BZP and TXCO.
