There is a reason oil are useful. I cannot see forcing decreases in our oil usage and destroying our economy while the rest of the world passes us by, as a step to create new energy sources.

While the US is pissing its money away in Iraq, the rest of the world is developing energy alternatives. The world already is passing the US by.

How stupid is it to use food to run our cars?

How stupid is it to use gas that pollutes the air and damages our lungs?

Did you know the first cars were not powered by oil based fuels?

Let me run this past you and the others. I'll assume you're right and there isn't much oil left (I disagree), so let's go ahead and use it all up. Seems the fastest way to get off of it is to run out, not cripple our economy by giving it to China.

You really scare me. I don't understand why you are so short sighted and resistent to planning ahead.
