I can tell you that assault and battery is worse than hanging a noose. No, I am comparing the punishments. The white boys got a slap on the hand; the black boys were threatened with life imprisonment. It doesn't strike you as odd that threatening someone with death by hanging, and that's what those nooses signify, is worthy only of a slap on the hand while participating in a school brawl is punishable with life imprisonment. All I can say its fortunate that a second judge in LA recognized the injustice. And lets not forget that one of the black guys was beaten up at a party by some of whites the night before the school brawl. Maybe if you can find some incident where six white boys beat up a black kid and got off scot-free, you might have a valid comparison. I don't know what to say to you. Your brain works in a way that is very alien to me.
