I never called Reagan my "ideological hero," I never claimed he was pure, and I am not denying that the GOP played to white southerners who were resentful of civil rights legislation. All I did was react to yet another liberal in mainstream media trying to find a racial conspiracy where none existed. (And I didn't even know said liberal was black. Doesn't change anything.)
