The relative fiscal prudence virtues of divided government are something that Pomp. and I have both separately argued here for several years now.... (Good to see the ole Journal agrees... wonder though why in that whole article they totally failed to even mention the HUNDREDS of BILLIONS in officially "off-budget" spending that has been going on for years now. You'd think that deficit spending orders of magnitude greater then even what they go to such pains to point out might at least deserve a line or two... even a footnote....)
