I'm thinking that was love canal in NY.

Coal is a mercury problem as well..I think (not 100% sure).

From stuff I've read there's correlation evidence between co2 and global warming. We have no causation evidence - big difference. So if science is convinced (and its not 90% as advertized) then we need to build nuclear plants.

That would be the Cuyahoga in Cleveland. Back then, the river and Lake Erie were cesspools.
