It's not the budget deficit that contributes to the dollar
downdraft, it's the trade deficit. That is only likely to come
down if we hit economic slowdown or a recession, and
experience further dollar devaluation. However, the Fed's
rates cuts aimed at avoiding recession will also help the
dollar go down.

P.S. I added stuff as to why it does not really matter who
wins the next elections.
