Feb. 18, 1998: The Clintonistas organize (conspire) with CNN to televise a "Town Hall Meeting" in the heartland. CNN tightly controls the event, questions and questioners are supposed to be vetted, and the objective was a well scripted, heavily controlled sales job. Whoops ... real people asked real questions and the event turned into a public relations nightmare. In addition to the numerous outspoken critics, we did not see the many others that were quietly ushered from the event (perhaps in preparation for their IRS audits?).
