You know the difference r-e, Sinclair is in as he is part of our mythology, the jabs are out ... somebody wants to push other people's buttons, fine, sounds like fun maybe for those with the time and inclination, just do it elsewhere ... if you like we can discuss this at length where this brilliant treatise on politics is posted - Message 23408308

DAK asks upthread if the piece on the 'Liberty Dollar' you posted was on topic, i think it could be argued that it is, since it speaks to a point where politics is relevant, the relative merits of fiat vs. metal-backed money and the struggle between their proponents ... and since you so nicely refrained from slipping into the post a sharp stick lunging for anyone's eye, no problem

The Nothaus fellow and his organisation have a basic flaw in their 'monetary architecture' imho - they make a mistake in conflating the idea of their product with legal tender in any way, they should be doing all they can to put distance between the two concepts, and never using terms like 'dollar' or maybe even 'currency' .... we won't see any significant country on a gold or silver standard again, and imho we shouldn't want to either - all that does is put your money alternative right beside fiat under the control of politicians ... better to stay free of that, for an effective financial reset button, keep separate and independent to such extent as possible [which will not be much imho, given the predilections of powermeisters and the tools they have in this computerised age, at some point they accuse you of money-laundering and poof - they push your button]
