Ahh... Yes. The key is leverage. If your assets fall below
your loans, that's a deep trouble for the economy. When the
Fed inflates, it keeps the collateral steady or even moves it
higher. Salaries will have to catch up eventually, and it's
less pain along the way, supposedly -g- But the standard of
living does decline.

The panicky selling of the dollar could lead to much higher
long-term rates (cause, what do they sell?) Then it's trouble
the Fed is unable to fight.
