Romney shouldn't be afraid to confront that head on. It wasn't so much JFK's speech before the Houston Ministers Conference, it was the Q & A afterward that won them over. I think Romney has the skills to do the same thing. I've watched this a couple of times, if JFK ran today I'd vote for him. Politicians taking tough questions and giving clear concise answers would be so refreshing.

Those preachers were giving Romney good advice: don't try to get our votes by telling us you are one of us. It won't work - you aren't.

They felt forced to give that advice because Romney was actually using that tactic.
