The question is, were the people who piously told us that EVERYONE is at risk for aids ignorant of the facts or did they just ignore them for political reasons.

We didn't get to the particulars, all I remember is several voices piped up at the same time. One said, "oh no" with the o's drawn out, like correcting a child. This was said with a furrowed brow. Another said "anybody can get it." Which theoretically might be true, but I don't think the statistics bear that out.
