Jews have been with the dems from the start when the bulk came to the big cities to work. Strong social views for the most part. Many jews had socialist bias and didnt trust capitalism. The numbers have been narrowing for years as jews have become more successful and more secure in the US. Tradition is a hard thing to break but since jews vote at high percentages, getting the jewish vote up to 40% is a big deal for republicans as it is with hispanics. Bush has lost crediblity with both groups and if things stay as they are both will vote more democratic than in last elections.
