I had one once before I bought property up there.

They didn't give a shit, and didn't report to U.S. IRS.

The brokerage was good for hard to borrow shares but was also good for forced buy ins (not so good)

It shall remain nameless.

When I looked into E-Trade Canada, all they required was a copy of your Canadian Citizenship Card and then your address didn't matter. So I should be all set...
