I think Grahame has it backwards. It is the smaller, more efficient predator, CDMA, that has consumed whole the larger, more somnolent GSM. Rather than marginalize CDMA, and choke its air supply, GSM morphed into CDMA, giving it access to virtually unlimited protein for growth. Whatever Grahame and his Euro views would like to believe, the reality is that GSM needed CDMA to thrive, and CDMA's growth has been powered by GSM conversions to multi-mode CDMA subscriber units. Let them call it 3GSM, or whatever suits their fancy, as long as it requires CDMA.
