I think it would be a much more serious charge, rebutable but more powerful, had she not won the NY senate seat. And performed extremely well.

She won the seat due to dynastic politics - how else can you explain her winning in New York, of all places? Had she won it in 1988, it would have been something different. Performing well is great, whatever that means, don't 75% of senators perform "great". And how great can she have done when she is a key part of the politcal process which has produced the current situation in US politics? GB didn't create everything by fiat - he signs laws created by Congress, where Hillary has been active.

Hillary Clinton, to expand just a bit, has been an extremely able public actor all her life. This is not Laura Bush or Nancy Reagan running for the presidency.

And I'm not even saying she would be good or bad at the job of president - I really don't have a strong opinion on that. My point is that dynastic politics in general is bad for the country, and therefore we'd be better off if she just wouldn't run. She would be a better "leader" if she chose not to pursue the presidency, IMO. The extreme example of dynastic politics is Egypt where the 3 decade "leader for life" prepares his son to "win" an election. The son may be the best man for the job - probably not - but he may be, who knows? It's not important. Egypt is worse off if it fails to successfully transition power out of specific families. Same with the US - with GB as a piece of evidence #1.
