Sam;

Good comments on Huckabee.

I also suspect that you may be allowing the image of the "b__ch" that Republicans have so thoroughly implanted in the public

I have been trying to get the Hillary fans here to tell me what Hillary stands for - what she has accomplished - and what her visions are. Other than vague feel-good fuzzy crap that could just as well be from any republican, these Hillary fans have been silent. The best and only reason I have heard so far is that her Supreme Court people won't be so bad. A good reason - but hardly compelling.

Read the Maureen Dowd article posted by Dale this morning! Fantastic read of Hillary and it has nothing to do with her being a "b__ch"

If you think Hillary is good, then tell us why, but to say we (I) are influenced by republicans propaganda - I find insulting.

Pragmaticlly; how will she ever work with republicans that find her so polarizing?

steve

Sam;

wouldn't mind if Huckabee was the Republican candidate because I don't think he would stand a chance against any of the front running Democrats

Have you listened to him? He has that touch of being able to "connect" with people. It's a gift. Be careful for what you wish for.

As to a sales tax;
I live in Washington State. We have a state sales tax and no state income tax. Food and medical expense are exempt - so most of the necessities of life are tax free. People never have to mess with state taxes - records for instance. On all other things they buy the sales tax is 8% plus. IOW, the more you consume - they more you pay. What is wrong for that in an over consuming nation? Our economy here is booming. Microsft, Boeing, Starbecks and Amazon are just a few of the businesses that flourish here. And rich guys don't have loopholes!
