Compare the pie chart with the leading causes of death. Notice that tiny sliver for cardiovascular disease? That's number 1. Number 1 for women too btw.

Makes me wonder just who is pulling the strings to get such a disjointed share of the allocation going towards one disease?

Evidentially AIDS advocates have a very strong lobbying group representing them.

Wanted to post the chart here as sometimes a picture can speak a thousand words, but the resolution is huge.
