I have to say that (a) I'm surprised to receive something like this from you because I thought you were very "pro-Establishment" and (b) I'm likewise surprised that Naomi Wolf, who is a well-known human-rights commentator, appears to have just woken-up to what is going on in the US, especially the move towards fascism and dictatorship and the nonconformity to the Constitution by the government. Indeed, all this has been discussed at length for years already. Nevertheless, it's better that she woke up now rather than not at all and also that she seems prepared to take action. From an intellectual standpoint, where her revelation falls short is she does not identify the reason for the move to fascism and the destruction of the republican democracy. In other words, who are the beneficiaries? Describing the signs and symptoms of a disease is all very well but no disease can be cured unless one can also identify the causative agent eg infection, cancer, metabolic disturbance, whatever. Perhaps she is reluctant to do this for fear of repercussions against herself, one doesn't know? In the circumstances, the viewer or reader has to make up his or her own mind as to what is behind it all and who are the beneficiaries? To me, the answer is clear and unambiguous -- Zionism. And this is coming, as you know, from a Jew. So whatever smear can be cast in my direction, at least I can't be called antiSemitic. For a start, agencies which I believe are involved in the present shift to fascism are AIPAC, the American Enterprise Institute, the neocons and the PNAC and any move towards restoring Constitutional democracy in the US has to start by criminalizing all of these. Since this is unlikely to happen, all attempts at protest, like Naomi Wolf suggests, are simply a waste of time.
