The "Flight 93 Mosque." They want to turn it into a memorial for the terrorist hijackers who were aboard.

That's total crap.

If you've never been there, it's a wide expanse of open, sloping farmland. You can do any style of memorial you choose: a wall, an obelisk, a replica of the Alamo, whatever.

Here's a fact:
Very simply, we hosted an open design competition in time of war. Of course the enemy would enter. The only thing that is hard to understand is why the Memorial Project is willfully blind to this ploy.

This Desecration-of-America design is an outrage. It shouldn't be modified, it should be junked. Better nothing than this insult.
