Airedale is a tough breed.....great dogs but stubborn like brick.

Feed him with your hands mixing dry and wet in his bowl...he'll get your scent with his food. Let him sleep next to you. This can create a bond that opens his mind to directions......sometimes.

Fetch is the single worst thing you can teach a shepherd as they will never quit and they will override their sense of bonding with the playfulness of the fetch....been there, done that and have friends that are sooo pissed they taught their dog to fetch....they get no sleep.
