Dale; I always felt that Reagan and Rove co-opted the fundamentalists into their coalition to get their votes, then made sure the movement only got a few crumbs in terms of real agenda achievements Hmmmm, are you suggesting it is a chicken vrs egg thing? If so, hadn't thought of it that way...... Reagan had that magic charm. He was the right man at the right time I had always thought, but somewhere along the way, the CF hijacked the party. It is not Christianity that gives me the willies, but the zealots within christian fundamentalist movement. The party really needs to wean itself from them - IMHO. steve
