Its hard to believe now, but wasn't Kennedy's Catholicism a turnoff? It was an 'issue'. Enough that he had to say it wouldn't effect his decision making. (How the world has changed with every politician now wearing his religion on his sleeve). Now with Oprah entering his campaign, even Hillary's women support is not safe. I don't know how active she will be, but that DOES make a difference. Why is he still trailing so bad in the national poles? Name recognition? Never overestimate the US voter... when they hear 'Clinton' they may just be thinking 'Bill'.
