Ruffian;

In the years prior to World War II, Lindbergh was a noted isolationist, and a leader in the America First Committee to keep the U.S. out of the coming war. Nevertheless, he flew combat missions in the Pacific Theater

Sounds like a Wikipedia answer!

To suggest Lindbergh was an isolationist (as we think of isolationist today)is to not understand the man. Lindbergh was amongst the people who believed the white race was superior and that invasion from communism and from the orient were more of a fear than the fear of Germany. Because he understood aircraft, he understood the power of Germany. He went to Germany and saw thier strength - in airforce - and believed that Hitler would win. Lindbergh visited Germany and the german leaders and was even given an award. He believed in the Superior race!
