If "everyone is equal" Mexico would be better < gheTt0_rabBi_587BC > 11/24 11:50:42

than Switzerland and certainly better than the USA.

Lets look at a few of their long standing advantages.....

nice weather, no big heating bills;

no large defense budget needed;

lots of mineral, oil and good farmland;

no major harmful animals, except certain diseases brought on by their own unclean habits;

two oceans;

always complete access to tech and education from next door USA, as well as the rest of the world;

positioned to act as the 'getway' to rest of Latin America;

If Mexicans had any potential we would have seen it over 150 years ago. The reality is all sorts of other nations without any of important benefits (like S.Korea) have advanced...and Mexico only becomes more pathetically dependent on the hated "gringos".

Some of that could be our fault as it is normal for people to become dependent if allowed.

The best thing we could do for Mexicans is give them all a swift kick in the ass back across the border....and tell them the Mutual Defense Pact is dissolved....and that we hear the Japanese are planning to land in 3 months and turn them all into shrimp feed.

For the first time in their 150+ history the Govt would actually enforce the laws about kids going to school (at least for boys close to 'military age' to learn some basic math and mechanical skills). It would be a start.
