Wa State Supreme Court just ruled unconstitutional a voter (58% approval) referendum to keep property tax rate hikes at 1%, which could see our prop tax rate jump by up to 36%. The Gov has come out with some wishy washy language and called for special session to reinstate 1% rule (or is it that she said up to 6% would fly............."we'll reach some kind of compromise.")

If the dem legislature handles this the way I think they are going to handle it, we can all be assured that there will be a taxpayers revolt at the ballot box in Nov '08 in Wa state.
