Being opposed to the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which Reagan was a very vocal opponent of, doesn't make you racist. It might make you a political opportunist, though. Or, it could mean that you don't see it as important legislation. Or something else.

I am less concerned with whether Reagan was a racist or not; after all, that can be very difficult to prove in this age of political correctness, but rather I am tired of the myth that Reagan was one of America's great presidents. Unless of course, greatness has more to do with great PR rather and less to do with great deeds.
