I couldn't read his plate. I'm sure the cop checked the Mormon database of saints in good standing when he went back to the car before he tasered the guy.

I could see WHY he tasered the guy - he ordered him to do something and instead of doing it the guy started returning to his vehicle. Kind of stupid when the cop is pointing a taser at you. The guy needed to learn to respect the taser.

The guy wasn't COMPLYING. Even if a cop is wrong and abusive, the first thing I learned was to COMPLY and fight the crap later.

The cop faced a conundrum - was he supposed to let the guy drive away? What if the guy had a gun in the car? Fight him hand to hand? Shoot him? Pursue and call for backup?
