The question to me is not to try to guess what biotechs will do next year but what distinguished biotechs from other tech sectors this year. Even after the carnage of the past few weeks the Nasdaq 100 (represented by QQQQ) is still up over 15% for the year (even though it contains a good number of biotechs). What was the dead hand that weighed on the biotechs (political pressure on the FDA) and will it still continue to exert its influence next year (probably).
