I had little experience with the US medical system before I developed asthma so imagine my shock when I called for an appointment in early December with a large clinic here in Seattle and could not get one until the end of February. And it took hours to get through the experience.

In my latest medical episode....over a spider bite..... I was charged with a $750 bill for two pills and 5 minutes of doctoring after waiting 2 1/2 hours. My cousin told me I am paying for those people who can't pay and don't have health insurance. Since I have a $2k deductible to keep my monthly health insurance payments from going through the roof, I will have to pay the $750 out of pocket. And Tim, Taro, TC etc think the US system isn't broken. LOL.

"Same story in Sweden, Netherlands and more."

And the US, apparently...

I believe I know more about what's going on in Sweden than any rags. Still have my family there incl 2 MDs and go there frequently and also subscribe to the daily "Svenska Dagbladet" svd.se . Don't try to take me to school on Germany, Denmark or Sweden ;)
