It has been over two years now since the peak. That is quite a lot of market clearing. So far, so good. USA exports are booming. Americans have had a huge pay cut [in NZ$, yen, euro and gold] so they won't be spending so much offshore. They'll be replacing their conked out SUVs with bicycles and mopeds or sharing a vehicle. Traffic jams will be fewer and shorter.

So far, so good. Fingers crossed. China, India, NZ and other economies are chortling along. Even the USA is still going okay.
