No, the country is pretty evenly divided.

As of 2004 it was the larger of the two parties by quite a bit. I suspect the gap is larger now.

An estimated 201.5 million U.S. citizens age 18 or over will be eligible to vote Nov. 2, although many are not now registered.

Of these, about 55 million are registered Republicans. About 72 million registered Democrats.

No, the country is pretty evenly divided.

The dominant party is independents. Reps and Dems vote for their party, us independents for for whoever. For the near future they vote Dem.

Reps are screwed... by their own hand as they say.
