wayne, they were using industrial methods to commit genocide well before you were born. humanity as a whole is getting worse, not better. it has always been really bad. america in the recent past is an anomaly. we have it so good, we aren't running slaves, taking over nations (oh wait!) and reaping genocide on its own populations. well, not anymore, anyway. people have this weird quirk where they want to see themselves as good but they want to do whatever suits their self interest - other be d*mned. that's the path that leads to 270 million dead in 100 years.
