It wouldn't have taken much for the Redskins to beat the Bucs yesterday. In fact, if they had just set their emotional alarm clocks for 1 p.m. — instead of pushing the snooze button until midway through the second quarter — they wouldn't be in the all-too-familiar predicament they're in.

Once again, though, the Snydermen lost a game that should have been theirs. Lost on a day when they knocked out the opposing quarterback, Jeff Garcia, in the very first series. Lost on a day when they outgained the other team more than 2-to-1 — and didn't allow a first down in the second half.

But then, six turnovers will do that to you.
