Why do people need all of that "stuff". Mostly mall shops sell things people don't really need. People buy stuff and it soon ends up as toxic waste in landfills.

Markets Tumble On Consumer Credit Fears
news.yahoo.com

Did I mention that under Bush Americans are now more deeply in personal debt than any time in our history? That they have in fact a negative net worth? So it stands to reason they have to tighten their belts - a lot - especially as easy real estate equity loans disappear and their home equity tumbles along with the rest of the markets.

Gold and oil at all-time highs. The dollar at all-time low. Bushies refuse to change economic policies even though they are driving us into another deep abyss. 1973 type economy. A stagflationary recession lasting five years. That's what Bush has brought us. And it's just begun so tighten your seatbelts.
